Overview

Murine IgG3 monoclonal antibody raised against the 987P fimbrial adhesin of Escherichia coli. The antibody is produced from a hybridoma generated by fusion with NS 1 myeloma cells and is affinity purified using Protein A. The purified antibody is standardised to a concentration of 1 mg/ml by BCA assay and supplied freeze dried at 1 mg per vial.

The antibody is suitable for use in ELISA and immunoperoxidase based detection systems for the specific identification of E. coli 987P positive strains, supporting diagnostic and research applications. mAb available in conjugated form on request.

Volume

Presentation

Freeze-dried in a glass vial.

Storage

Store the freeze-dried preparation at +4°C in the dark. Once reconstituted dispense into appropriately sized aliquots and store in 50% glycerol at -18°C or below in the dark. Once diluted to working strength the antibody should be stored at +4°C and discarded at the end of the working day.

Directions For Use

Reconstitute with 1ml sterile distilled water. Care should be taken to ensure that the contents of the vial are completely reconstituted. This monoclonal antibody can be used in ELISA and immunoperoxidase detection systems for the specific identification of E. coli 987p positive strains, as described in the references listed below. Please note that this antibody may show some precipitation at pH values below approximately 9.6. To re-solubilise, raise the pH as appropriate.
