Overview

Equine sera positive to Burkholderia mallei by Glanders complement fixation test. This antiserum is to be used as a low titer positive control antiserum for the Glanders CFT.

Storage

Store the freeze-dried product at +4°C. Once reconstituted store at +4°C for up to 1 month or at -20°C for up to 1 year.

Directions For Use

Reconstitute with 1ml of sterile distilled water. Allow up to 1 hour to fully reconstitute. The reconstituted control sera should be tested as a sample.

Inactivation details: Heat treated at 56°C for 60 minutes.

This antiserum was positive at a dilution of 1/10 complement fixation test when evaluated prior to release, actual endpoint dilution may vary under different test conditions.
