Successful Accreditation Visit and Transition to New ISO Standard

In February, VETQAS welcomed assessors for our annual UKAS accreditation visit, a vital part of maintaining our high standards and commitment to quality. UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is the national accreditation body for the UK, appointed by the government to assess and accredit organisations that provide services including certification, testing, inspection, calibration, validation and verification.

This year’s visit covered the usual assessments of our work and management systems but also included a major milestone: the transition to the updated ISO17043:2023 standard, replacing the previous 2010 version.
We’re pleased to report that the visit went very well. Assessors were impressed by the depth of knowledge across the team and recognised the significant effort that had gone into the transition.
