Overview

The methodology and transport of enrichment media were developed at APHA for the successful sampling and culturing of Campylobacter fetus spp. from bulls and cows. The kit contains a filter and sufficient reagents for sampling one bull or two cows. Each kit is supplied with a set of user instructions, a leaflet providing details of contents together with two laboratory sample submission forms. It should be noted that inserion tubes and syringes are not supplied. This kit can also be used for the transport of Trichomoniasis samples.

Storage

Store at 4°c in the dark. Do not freeze.

This product contains an antibiotic mixture of Actidione, 5-Fluorouracil, Polymixin B, Trimethoprim and Vancomycin. These materials are highly toxic, irritant, carcinogenic and teratogenic. Use suitable protective equipment, do not take by mouth or inhale the mixture. Do not eat, drink or smoke where kit reagents or specimens are being handled. If eyes or skin are splashed with reagents wash thoroughly with water and seek medical advice.
